Radio Broadcast Programs

In 1939 and 1940, Tabuteau’s presented his Curtis woodwind students on radio at the Columbia Broadcasting System studios in Philadelphia.* In April of 1944 through April of 1945 he conducted a series of programs broadcasted from the Westinghouse Radio Station K.Y.W. studios in Philadelphia. The programs are shown below.

*There is a 78 RPM record in the Curtis Library of the Pierne Pastorale variée indicating it is a broadcast recording from 1937. Laila Storch also makes reference to a radio broadcast given in April of 1938 of the Mozart Eb Serenade and Gounod’s Petite symphonie. Printed programs for these broadcasts have not been found.
