Arthur Grossman (b. 1934) attended the Curtis Institute of Music from 1952 to 1955. There he studied bassoon with Sol Schoenbach and chamber music with Marcel Tabuteau. Following his graduation, he served as principal bassoon for the Indianapolis Symphony, the Cincinnati Symphony, and the Israel Philharmonic. He later became faculty for the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico followed by the University of Washington where he also served as Associate Dean for Arts of the College of Arts and Sciences for ten years.
He is a founding member of the Soni Ventorum Wind Quintet and has recorded solo and chamber works on the Musical Heritage and Crystal labels.
