Tabuteau-Freres Letterhead
Evidently, after Marcel came to America, he and his brother had the idea of exporting cane for reeds and fishing poles from France to the US, but there was no evidence this enterprise ever came to fruition.

Handwritten letter on reverse of the letterhead:

Cher Monsieur Tabuteau

Leopold Stokowski

Dear Mr. Tabuteau
I am disappointed to have missed you —
I came by (the house at) La Leque
where your brother Marcel lives.
The countryside there is charming,
so simple and rustic. I am looking
in the area for an old house (or farm)
or land on which to build a country house
(and farm) or by the sea, or on a hillside
overlooking the sea. I’ll be returning in
May to see you and your brother — I’ll
be very happy to be near your brother.
If you know [of] an old house or a
property of 2 or 3 hectares —

With friendly feelings,
Leopold Stokowski
